IT Support Technician - Technology Deployment


We are a leading main contractor specialising in retail fit-outs, refurbishments, deployments, and maintenance across the UK and ROI. We partner with many of the largest retailers in the UK and Ireland, focusing on delivering nationwide rollouts of the latest retail technology and complete store fit-outs we contribute to making shops smarter and improving shopping experiences through innovative products and services. About the Role We are currently recruiting an IT Support Technician with experience of supporting and deploying retail technology to join our expanding IT and Service team. This role is responsible for configuring, deploying and supporting a range of retail technology solutions across our customer sites throughout the UK and ROI. You will be required to ensure that the equipment is fully commissioned prior to deployment and ongoing maintenance is conducted within a service level agreement. Key Responsibilities • Deployment & Configuration of lockers and hardware • Configure and test the hardware and software as per specifications prior to installation at store • Support both onsite and remote installations • Maintain accurate asset and configuration records Technical Support • Provide second level technical support in line with Service Level Agreements • Diagnose and resolve system faults • Support upgrades and preventative maintenance programmes • Record support activities within company systems Team Collaboration • Work closely with IT, Service, Operations and Project teams • Support smooth project handovers into operational service About You The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of the following: • Strong technical skills and experience in IT support, for hardware deployment • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability Experience • Ability to manage workload and meet strict deadlines • Great communication skills and excellent problem solving abilities • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience of supporting retail technology environments • Experience in customer-facing roles Working Hours Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Flexibility required to support project schedules, including occasional evening, overnight or weekend work. All work arrangements comply with UK Working Time Regulations.
